Corporate Social Responsibility
Howe & Howe believes with success comes responsibility- and part of that responsibility is giving back and partnering with a variety of organizations. Our goal is to make a difference in the community through education & STEM initiatives, veteran organizations, community outreach and our philanthropy, Outdoors Again.
COMMUNITY
At Howe & Howe, we love inviting local community members to our facility! Every fall, we host an open house for local schools, vocational programs, STEM groups, teams and businesses. All our extreme builds are on display outside with team members from every area- engineering, program management, manufacturing- to showcase the importance of every job, from start to finish, that make our projects and products successful. Our Senior Vice Presidents, Geoff and Mike Howe, also spend time with students, sharing the story of Howe & Howe and how their history of disrupting expectations lead to success.
GIVING BACK
Outdoors Again was founded in 2012 after the creation of Howe & Howe’s Ripchair, a tracked all-terrain custom wheelchair. The mission of Outdoors Again is to plan and create outdoor activities that reintegrate wheelchair users and disabled veterans into their community, providing positive, social and stress-free experiences. We enjoy bringing people together and fostering lifelong connections!
All activities and events are free to our guests and their families, funded by donations, grants and sponsorships. All positions are on a volunteer basis- many of our employees volunteer as well, as Outdoors Again is close to the heart of our entire team.
In 2018, one of our Board Members and greatest advocates, Tony Tulo, was recognized for his efforts as one of the Top 26 Volunteers in New England; he was presented an award by Robert Kraft at Gillette Stadium, as well as a $10,000 check for Outdoors Again.
